One More Thing...

So, this is how we started out our Christmas Day..... in the wee, wee hours of the morning!

A special moment shared between Mommy & Daddy... This is kinda funny, but my best friend pointed out that it looks we got engaged in this picture.... while in bed. Thank you. Well, we were in bed cuz it was about 1 am on Christmas Day and we had just gotten back from Nashville doing Christmas Eve with my family and were getting up at 8 the next morning for Christmas breakfast. So, this is a pic between two very sleep-deprived people! But, two people who have been married for 6 1/2 years and are still capable of surprising each other! :)

So, every year Marc and I say we're not going to get each other anything, but of course we always bust out with some special gift we bought one another! And this year it happened to be jewelry! This was really ironic, because Marc and I are not fancy jewelry people. Well, he busted out and gave me this GORGEOUS diamond heart necklace that I am in love with! I want to wear it every single day! It is so simple and dainty and perfect!

And I FINALLY bought him another wedding ring... Yes, ANOTHER one. He lost the original one on our honeymoon in Aruba while snorkeling. It was just awful. We went to this cheap little gift shop the next day and bought him a $7 fake silver one so that everyone didn't think he was on a romantic getaway with a married woman sporting a brand spankin' new wedding ring. We searched all over that island for a ring! Well, I guess he was a good boy cuz a couple of years lately his momma bought him a $17 at Trees N' Trend. I guess she felt sorry for him! :) So, I thought that this was the year that he deserved a new wedding band that's actually from me. It's Titanium, just like the first one, but this one is way cooler! I love the finish on it. We definitely shocked each other with these gifts!

Thank you, Marc, for my beautiful necklace. I love it and I love YOU!!!! Will you please marry me? Thank you.

That is so sweet! Eric lost his band about year after we got married. He was throwing a football in the lake and it fell off. He was so heartbroken! I surprised him on our 2nd anniversary (the day he returned home from Iraq) with the same ring! Hope he won't lose this one too! Congrats on 6 1/2 years. Ya'll look so happy together! Did you get my email?
