Bowling Green's Newest & Finest Ophthalmologist.... Dr. Marc Moore!

Hi everyone! I wanted to let you all know that Marc and I made a life-changing decision this week. We have been praying about this for over a year now and it has been a looooong process, but we feel we are making the right decision that is completely God-led. Marc accepted a job as an ophthalmologist at a practice called Graves-Gilbert in Bowling Green, KY. He is finishing his training this June after 4 years of med school at Univ. of Louisville, one year internship in Internal Medicine at Baptist Hospital here in Nashville, and 3 years residency in Ophthalmology at Vanderbilt. It's been a long road and Marc has been working his bottom off for this. I'm so proud of him! He will finally be a "real doctor" as so many put it. :) Even though in my book he's been a real doctor since the second I met him! He has wanted to be an eye doctor since he was 8 years old.

We don't know any details yet, but he will have his "graduation" from Vandy at the end of June and then who knows what will be the next step. We will definitely be moving to Bowling Green though by the end of the summer for him to start working. We are so blessed and this job is going to be an amazing opportunity. None of his colleagues and staff at Vanderbilt Eye Institute have ever heard of an opportunity for a starting ophthalmologist as wonderful as this one at Graves-Gilbert. Not only do we not feel worthy of the material benefits of the position, but the Christian atmosphere of the eye clinic is one that is rare in the field of medicine. Marc has not really had that in med school & residency, so he is so ready for that change. The doctor Marc will be working with, Dr. Jennifer Wentworth, loves God and her family so much, and that is pretty much the number one reason why Marc signed the contract. Everything else will fall into place. I truly feel that Graves-Gilbert will be a perfect fit for Marc, Mason, and me.

I am asking for you to pray for us these next few months as we finish this chapter in Nashville and prepare for the next step in our journey. We selfishly hope for God to bring us back to Nashville soon because this is where we want to settle down and raise our family, but for now we belong back up in Kentucky for a while. Our hearts are halfway still in Louisville from our wonderful few years there during our graduate school, so Bowling Green will put us almost smack dab in the middle of our two favorite places; Louisville & Nashville! It couldn't get any better than that! :) We really appreciate y'all's prayers, support, encouragement, friendship and for always being there for us during all of these changes and moves the last few years. I gess that's what kept our lives so exciting and full of adventures! Maybe one day we'll get settled and stay in one place for a while! :)

Love you all!
