The Beach House at Mainsail Resort... We love Cottage #41!!

We LOVED our beach house!!! It was in a gated community that is situated directly on the beach, called Mainsail. It is directly across the street from the outlet mall. There are two highrises part of our resort that sit right on the beach, and then behind those highrises are the beach houses. This is the first time I haven't really stayed directly on the beach, but it was a wonderful new experience! We had the feel of "home" and all the space we needed with only a 2 minute walk to the beach. We had a house, plus all the amenities of a resort. We had 2 pools, a hot tub, kiddie pool, bbq grills, tennis courts, and 2 beach chairs and an umbrella on the beach that were ours to use for free every day! I HIGHLY recommend this place and I got it for sooo cheap! I just had to keep fannagling (a word?!?!) back and forth with the owner through email and finally talked her down to the price I wanted! I found this house through http://www.vrbo.com/. It sleeps about 12 people and is PERFECT for large families, especially those with lots of kiddos! The house is sooo cute and is decorated in a beachy theme. It made me the happiest! It had a great, open living room and a huge kitchen. AND a laundry room! Marc's mom was in heaven! :) There was a balcony on the bottom and top floors and Marc's & my room walked right out to the top floor balcony! The Master Suite on the main floor also walked out to a balcony. I would definitely stay there again! Let me know if you want more info on it!

The back view of our house! We walked right through this grass to follow the little pathway boarwalk thing to the beach and pools. We loved sitting out on the bottom balcony every morning to eat our breakfast! Sometimes when I would come back from the beach, Connie & Mason would be sitting on the porch waiting for me!! Awww, the life!
Hanging out in the living room... Even Mason had his own special little swing that the owners keep in the house!

Connie emptying out the gingerale bottle before we moved out for the week. Good to the last drop! This chair was her favorite spot. She was pretty much there the whole week with Mason perched up on her lap! She loved every second of it! :)

View from the top floor... there were 2 bedrooms upstairs and one bath... where my parents and Marc and I stayed.

My parents' bedroom. It was actually a "bunkroom" where you stick all the kids! We wished this third bedroom had a regular bed in it, but we made do! My parents just put mattresses on the floor side by side and they actually said it was pretty comfortable! The room was decorated so brightly and fun! I loved hanging out in there with my mom while she got dressed. It was like a college dorm or something!!

Marc's and my room... It had this huge walk-in closet and then another room attached to that. That room had a queen-sized sleeper sofa. That is where we kept Mason in the Pack 'n Play. It was actually one the owners keep there, so we didn't have to take up a ton of room in the car by packing ours!! Mason loved sleeping in that room. It was a perfect sleeping situation for us.

Our super cute dining room! I LOVED the way it was decorated!
Outside views... When we walked out our front door, this is what we saw. Beautiful beach houses and condos right next door! They were individually-owned houses and some a part of Ocean Reef rentals.

View from top floor balcony... other beach houses and condos part of our resort

If you looked to the right, you saw the tennis courts and a small view of the ocean
The walk to our house from the beach... Find me!

One of my favorite parts about the house... all the little signs everywhere with beach sayings! I want them for my house in Nashville!!
My husband looks thrilled to be in this picture!!

Mason LOVED his first visit to a beach house!

Mommy was the saddest to leave, though!

The beach and outlet malls-my kind of vacation! So glad you got to go with both of your parents and that baby boy.
