Okay, so since I'm leaving for a few days and won't be able to blog while I'm gone, I thought I'd just go ahead and jump to the good stuff and wait to blog about other aspects of our trip once I get back. Many of you know about my dream of this family photoshoot on the beach and were wondering how it went. Well, it was definitely the most chaotic, stressful 30 minutes of the trip, but the pictures are absolutely beautiful! I just love them so much! Mason was doing so well, but did start getting fussy at the end as it was getting cooler. We felt awful for him! His little cheeks and nose were so red and his nose was running and his eyes were watering. I was wondering what in the world I had done to my child! But, for the rest of the photoshoot he was in the best mood and was smiling at the camera (well, except when he decided to pull mommy's hair)! We had to work so quickly in order to get the shots before the sun went down and we lost our good lighting. We were going to choose white shirts, but my dad's hair makes him sometimes washed out when wearing white, so we went with blue instead. I'm so glad we did! Mason's precious beach-themed smocked outfit was a gift from one of my best friends, Carrie, and I wanted the rest of our outfits to match that theme. Notice my dad's & Marc's dad's matching palm tree shirts! Love them! They bought them at the outlet mall earlier in the week. :) This first picture I posted above is the best of them all and I'm definitely going to frame a HUGE copy of it in our house! It's so hard to get a shot where everyone is looking, with no eyes shuts, and noone looking funny, but I think we were definitely successful with this one! I am just in love with it! Let me know which ones below are your favorites!!
Okay, so the ones of us with my parents didn't turn out as well... By that point Mason was getting a little over the situation!! In this pic below, he is actually staring directly at the side of my head and pulling my hair. Thank you.
Mommy & Mason time just as the sun was about to go down...
Looking at the pictures just remind me of how incredibly blessed Marc and I are to have such wonderful relationships with our parents AND for them to be so involved in our child's life. I know that not many people could do a trip like this with BOTH sets of grandparents, but it's just something Marc and I have always treasured the entire time we have been together; how our parents get along so well and we have the best time laughing and being silly when we're all together! The first Christmas Marc and I were dating (Christmas 1999), my parents and I even spent a few days at Marc's parents' home in KY to exchange gifts and celebrate! Here we are, 9 years later, still bringing both of our families together! Well, one thing has changed; Marc and I gave our mommas the best Mother's Day gift they ever could have received this year and now we are old news! :)

What a blessing-love your pictures!
First, Mason looks precious in that outfit! :) I was hoping it would fit.
I just don't know where to start. I love all of the pictures. I went back and looked at some of them a few times to be able to tell you my faves, but it's too hard. What wonderful memories you captured. I love the blue shirts, too. I've never seen that, but it was a neat change from the white shirts, and you all look so nice in blue.
I can see so many of them framed around all of your homes. Aren't you glad you took the time to do the photo shoot?
I think I like the first family picture the best-I love Connie all fixed up! She looks so pretty. And, the lighting on the ones with just your little family is awesome.
I really like the close up pic of you, Marc, and Mason sitting on the beach. I am so impressed that both families get along so well! Looks like you had a great time!
Love the group photo of everyone sitting down on the beach!! Is that the pose you were telling me about? And I like Jack and Terry's matching shirts too! Frame them all! Oh, and of course baby Mason is just the sweetest looking baby ever! Love him.
